Drumsticks curry

 

Preparation time – 10  minutes
Cooking time – 10 to 15 minutes
Serving – 2

 

 

 
Ingredients:
Drumsticks – 200 gm
Oil – 2 to 3 Tablespoons
Cumin seeds – 1 Teaspoon
Asafoetida – ¼ Teaspoon
Black sesame seeds – ½ Teaspoon for garnishing
Garlic, finely chopped – 8 to 10 cloves
Green chills – 2 to 3
Ginger – ½ inch
Besan (gram flour) – 2 Tablespoons
Butter milk – 2  cups
Water – 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder – ¼ Teaspoon
 
Method:
 
Blend garlic, green chills, ginger well, make semi crushed paste. Keep aside.
 
Wash drumsticks, cut into 3 inch pieces, then slit into 2 parts. Boil drumsticks till cook or soft. Keep side.

 

Take one bowl ,  mix besan and buttermilk well , keep aside.
 
Heat oil in pan, add  cumin seeds, ginger- garlic-green chills paste sauté it for 15 to 20 second. Add  asafoetida, turmeric powder, mix well.
 
 
 Add  prepared besan and buttermilk mixture, salt, mix well.
 
 
Add boiled drumsticks , cover lid and  cook for 8 to 10 minutes or till curry  become semi thick.
 

Garnish with black sesame seeds and serve with roti or rice.
