Ingredients for kofta :
Potatoes, boiled, peeled, mashed – 1/4 cup
Grated paneer (cottage cheese) – 1 cup
Onion, finely chopped – 2 medium
Green chutney (1 cup fresh coriander + ½ cup mint leaves + 2 to 3 green chillies + garlic cloves 4 to 5 + ginger 1 inch + salt + 2 Tablespoons lemon juice) – 2 Tablespoons
Chat masala – ½ Teaspoon
Salt to taste
Garam masala – 1 Teaspoon
Pepper powder – ½ Teaspoon
Fresh bread crumbs – as required.
Ingredients for curry:
Onion, chopped – 2 medium
Tomato, chopped – 5 medium
Garlic cloves – 8 to 10
Ginger – ½ inch
Cream – ¼ cup
Oil – 3 Tablespoons
Kasuri methi – 1 Tablespoon
Red chilly powder – 2 Teaspoons
Garam masala – ½ Teaspoon
Salt to taste
Method For Kofta :
Mix all the ingredients of kofta and mix well.
Divide in to small pieces. Make balls.
Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep fry the kofta till golden brown and crisp in color.
Method for curry :
Take mixi bowl, blend onion, garlic, and ginger well. Make smooth paste.
Again take mixi bowl and blend tomatoes well. Strain tomato paste and keep aside. (if you strain tomato paste, gravy become smooth.)
Heat oil in kadai, add onion paste mixture, sauté till light brown.
Add tomato paste, cook till gravy thickens.
Add red chilly powder, salt, garam masala and mix well.
Add kasuri methi, cream and mix well. cook for 1 minute.
Take serving plate, pour gravy and arrange kofta and serve hot.
