Palak( Spinach) Aur Moong Dal Ki Sabji

Ingredients:
Palak ( spinach) leaves , chopped – 2 cups
Moong Dal ( yellow gram ),soaked – 1 /  4 Cup
Garlic , chopped – 5 to 6 cloves
Tomato , chopped – 1 medium
Oil – 2 Tablespoons
Cumin seeds – 1 / 2 Teaspoon
Hing ( asafoetida ) – 1 / 4 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – 1 / 2 Teaspoon
Red chilli powder – 1 / 2 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1 / 2 teaspoon
Cumin powder – 1 / 2 Teaspoon
Garam Masala – 1 / 4 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Method:
Soak moong dal for 1 hour.
Heat oil in kadai , add cumin seeds , hing , garlic and saute till brown . add tomatoes , moong dal ,salt , mix well .cook for 1 minute .
Add chopped palak leaves ,red chilly powder   , coriander powder , cumin powder , mix well . cover with lid and cook for 5 to 6 minutes or till done . add garam masala and mix well . cook for 1 minute and serve hot with roti .
