Toor Dal (pigeon dal) Soaked, Boiled – 1 / 2 cup
Tomato , Chopped – 1 Medium
Oil – 2 Tablespoons
Cumin Seeds – 1 Teaspoon
Hing – 1 /2 Teaspoon
Cinnamon Stick – 1 /2 inch
Black Pepper – 4
Laung /Cloves – 3
Cardamom , whole – 1
Dry Red Chilly – 2
Curry Leaves – 3
Garlic paste – 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder – 1 / 2 Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder – 1 / 2 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Red Chilly Powder – 1 / 2 Teaspoon
Garam Masala – 1 /2 Teaspoon
Lemon juice – 1 to 2 Tablespoons

Fresh Coriander Leaves, Chopped – 1 Tablespoon
Water As Required
Method :
Heat oil in pan, add Cumin Seeds, Cinnamon Stick, Black Pepper, Cloves, Cardamom, Dry Red Chilly, Curry Leaves, hing and mix well.
Add garlic paste and saute. add tomatoes saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add toor dal, salt, red chilly powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and mix well. You can add water to adjust dal consistency. cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
Add lemon juice, mix well.
Add lemon juice, mix well.
Add fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati or rice and papad.
