Ingredients:
Mung Dal – 1/2 cup
Butter Milk – 2 cup
Chopped Onions – 2 medium
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tablespoon
Chopped Green chilly – 2
Muster Seeds – 1 teaspoon
Oil – 2 Tablespoons
hing – Pinch
Spring Onions – 1/2 cup
Salt To Taste
Red Chilly Powder – 2 Tesspoons
Turmeric – 1 Teaspoon
Coriander Powder – 1 Teaspoon
Method:
Soak Mung Dal for 3 to 4 hours.
Take one pan and heat oil. Add Muster seeds and let them splutter.
Add Hing and chopped onions , ginger – garlic paste , green chillies and saute for 1 minute.
Add Soaked mung dal and mix well .
Add turmeric powder , red chilly powder , coriander powder ,salt and mix well.
Add Butter milk and mix well .cover it and cook for 10 minute.
Add Spring onions and mix well .cook for 30 seconds .
Serve Hot with Roti or paratha.
Will the moong dal become completely soft or remain a bit hard to chew??
Hi Ns. Moong Dal should be soft. 2 cup of buttermilk is enough for soft texture.
