Ingredients for batter:
Gram flour (Besan) – 2 Cups
Carom seeds ( ajwain) – 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric powder – to taste
salt to taste
Water – as required
Baking soda – 1/4 Tsp
Hot oil – 1 Tbsp
Ingredients for stuffing:
oil – 2 Tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1/4 Tsp
Green chillies – finely chopped as per taste
Ginger – finely chopped as per taste
Turmeric powder – 1/4 Tsp
Hing – 1/4 Tsp
boiled mashed potatoes – 3 medium size
salt to taste
Kitchen king masala – 1 Tsp
Fresh coriander leaves – chopped
Other Ingredients:
Bread slices – 6
Tomato pickle – 2 Tbsp
Cheese slices – 3
Recipe For Batter:
Take a bowl and add some gram flour(besan).
Add turmeric powder and salt to taste.Add carom seeds(ajwain)
Add some water and mix well.
Make sure to get semi thick consistency batter.
Mix well to avoid lumps and keep the batter aside.
Recipe For Stuffing:
Take a pan and heat oil on medium flame.
Add cumin seeds.
Add finely chopped green chillies and ginger.
Add turmeric powder.
Add asafoetida (hing).
Add 3 boiled and mashed potatoes.
Add salt and ‘kitchen king’ masala (secret Ingredient).
Mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add fresh coriander. Stuffing is ready and keep aside.
Recipe to make sandwich:
Take bread and spread tomato pickle (aachar) / you can use any pickle or garlic chutney..
Now spread good amount of mixture properly.
Put a cheese slice and cover with second bread.
cut bread into two pieces and keep aside.
Recipe to fry pakodas:
Take the prepared batter.
Add pinch of baking soda and few drops of hot oil and mix well.
Take a pan and heat oil on medium flame.
Dip prepared bread sandwich properly in batter both sides.
Make sure to cover area of bread with batter while sliding in to the oil.
Add it to oil.
Fry both the sides.
Take it out when it turns golden brown.
Serve with chutney, ketchup and enjoy with tea.
