Hara Brown Rice

Preparation Time – 10 minutes
Cooking Time – 10 to 12 minutes
Serving – 2  
Brown rice, boiled – 2 cups
Oil – 2 Tablespoons
Cumin seeds – ½ Teaspoon
Hing(Asafoetida) – ¼ Teaspoon
Green chilly, chopped – 2
Fresh Green peas –  ¼ cup
Green capsicum, chopped – ¼ cup
Spring onion, chopped – 1 cup
Dhaniya Fudine ki chutney – 3 to 4 Tablespoons
Salt to taste


Soak brown rice with sufficient water for 2 hour. Wash it well and presser cook with 4 cups of water for 6 to 7 whistle or till rice cook.

Heat oil in kadai, add cumin seeds, let them crackle. Add green chilly, hing, green peas, capsicum, mix well. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Add spring onions, cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

Add brown rice, Dhaniya Fudine ki chutney, salt, and mix well. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

Serve hot.
