Cooking Time : 12 – 15 minutes
Ingredients:
Whole wheat sevaiya – 50 gms
Jaggery – 1/2 cup
water – 1.5 cups
Ghee – 1 TBSP
Recipe:
1 Take whole wheat sevaiya 50 grams.
2 cut them into sizeable small chunks.
3 Heat 1/2 cup of jaggery.
4 add 1.5 cups of water to it.
5 cook/boil till jaggery melts(make sure it does not overcook).
6 heat ghee (1tbsp) in a pan.
7 Add sevaiya in it.
8 roast it properly for 1 – 2 minutes on slow flame.
9 Add jaggery water gradually in it and mix well.
10 cover it with lid and cook for 8 – 10 minutes.
11 check in between to see if sevaiya has soften.
12 Add sauted or fried cashewnuts and ilachi powder optionally at this stage.
13 Enjoy this sweet delicacy.
